Dear Sirs,
I have query about NBFC.Currently,all NBFCs do Loan against Shares by way disbusrsement in the Bank A/c of Borrower.Only,banks like ICICI Bank,HDFC Bank provide Overdraft facility against Shares.Can NBFC give Overdraft facility like a Bank.Is there any legal restriction on NBFC not to do Overdraft facility?Pls provide us your view and give existing legal provisions in this regards

business by HUF of a person who is a CA

can HUF of a person who is a chartered accountant by profession in practice do business other than profession of CA. Can he be a sleeeping partner or an working partner in for example a trading in steel, cement business etc in the representative capacity as Karta of HUF

TDS on Hotel Room Rent

Wheather TDS is to be deducted on Hotel Lodging bills. if deductable what is the exact conditions.

Since it was a MNC, we allowed our customer to avail the credit bill facility. Now while settling the payment the MNC has deducted TDS @15.45% on bill amounts Rs.2,700.00, 1,080.00 and 2,190.00. As per our knowledge they should not deduct TDS on this.

Can some one help me to get the necessary rule indicating the above mentioned duction is wrong.

ESCROW ACCOUNT

Dear all,

Myself is a newly qualified chartered accountant in practice, presently i have opened a Escrow account in my firm name for making epayment of taxes of my clients, my quarries are:
1.whether Receipts to Escrow account by cash, any implication in this regard...??
2.What are the rules & regulations operate the escrow account.
