Dear sir,
I want to know that whether it mandatory to sign return digitally in audit case or manully signed return also can be transmited to cpc?

It is mandatory to digitally sign the return if the assessee is liable to tax audit.

If you mention that the assessee is laible to audit in the Income Tax return, then you will not be able to upload the return without a digital signature.

There is no option available. You have to use DSC mandatorily.

A assessee who has to get his books of accounts audited u/s 44AB shall compulsorily be required to file a return online and the return needs to be mandatorily digitally signed effective 01.07.2011 i.e for AY 2011-12. There are no options to the same.
