For multiple buyers/sellers, Form 26QB must reflect each party's share. Reporting full Rs.1.40 Cr in all forms caused AIS duplication (Rs.2.8 Cr). File correction on TRACES to revise each 26QB to proportionate value (e.g., Rs.35 lakh each).
This query is regarding form 26QB filed in december 2025, a case of two buyers, and two sellers, both buyers in their 26 QB filled total value of consideration Rs 1.40 crores. it has caused 2 entries of Rs 1.40 Cr in 26AS of both buyers sellers. AIS and 26AS is showing doubled value i.e 2.8 Cr cr as property sale value. the actual value is Rs 1.40 Cr
TDS has been deducted at 1%, each buyer Rs 70,000 TDS amount, total Rs 1.40 lacs TDS
stamp duty value of property was also mentioned as Rs 1.40 Cr

In case of multiple buyers and multiple sellers, Form 26QB has to be filed for each buyer-seller combination, but the consideration should be reported only to the extent of the respective share/payment. If total property value is ₹1.40 crore and there are 2 buyers and 2 sellers with equal shares, then 4 Form 26QBs are generally required, each for ₹35 lakh. Total reporting should remain ₹1.40 crore only.
If both buyers have filed 26QB showing ₹1.40 crore each, AIS/26AS will show ₹2.80 crore due to duplication. File correction request on TRACES for the relevant 26QB and correct the consideration/stamp duty/payment amount to the respective share. TDS already deducted of ₹1.40 lakh appears correct if the actual property value is ₹1.40 crore and TDS was deducted @1%.

Sir, four 26QB forms have been filed, in each form total value of consideration was filed as Rs 1.40 Crore but AIS is not calculating sum amount of four 26QB forms, it is calculating on basis of 2 sellers 50% share each
so if we update 26QB and change the property value to Rs 70 lacs , would that be correct?
