Quick Summary

02 May 2026 For FY 2025-26, the relevant Assessment Year is AY 2026-27. Filing will be possible once the applicable ITR utility/form is enabled on the income-tax e-filing portal. Forms are being notified, but practically it is better to file after Form 16/AIS/TIS/26AS are fully updated, generally after mid-June. Normal due date for non-audit cases is 31 July 2026, subject to any extension.

03 May 2026 No. Not yet started. Either of excel or Java utilities of any ITR are not released yet. Excel utility of ITR 1 & 4 are expected to be released within fortnight.
