DEAR SIR
I HAVE GET MY BOOKS AUDITED FOR THE YEAR 2011-2012 BY 25 SEPTEMBER 2012 BUT I HAVE NOT FILED MY RETURN YET. CAN I FILE MY RETURN NOW. AS THE DUE DATE WAS 30 SEPTEMBER. IS THERE ANY PENEALTY LEVIABLE ON ME OR NOT.
KINDLY CONFIRM IT.

If the company is under tax audit than you must prove the reasonable cause for not filing the return. Other penalty may be imposed
