an employee wants to claim his HRA ded & 80C deduction with IT Return which he did not claim during the year & his tax has been deducted.
he may claim or not. he have to attach rent receipt & LIC prem.rect with ITR-1

If your having all proofs with you, then you can claim in your IT return even employer not considered previously

He/she can claim both, if eligible, by filing the return of income. No documentary proof need to be attached since income tax return are to be filed annexure less. However, if called for, the he/she has to produce the evidence before the assessing authority.
