one of my client is a senior citizen. he received 220000/- as an interest. can he need to file it return compulsory ?

According to Income tax rule it is not mandatory because income is less than Rs. 2,50,000/- but your TDS on Interest is showing in 26AS & you want to claim refund then its compulsory file ITR.

sir but he issued form 15 h to bank. then he need that. that shown in 26 as under head 15g/15 h

Senior citizens Upto 3 lakhs tax is NIL,But it is my advise to file returns Declaring interest income .
