Dear Sir/Madam,

Till March 2009 I was working in an organisation as an employee and I am also serving as a Director in a company. Company was deduting Profession tax from my salary. I would like to know following:
1. Shall I am eligible to pay profession tax as a direcor, when I am an employee of one organisation and they are deducting profession tax from salary?
2. From April 2009 I am working in the same organisation as a consultant and I am also continuing with the directorship in another company. What steps shall I take to comply with the law.

Hi,
I have Tally 9.0 (Gold) version at my home PC but Tally 9.0 (Silver) version at office.When i tried to open data file backed up from office on my home PC, the TALLY just gave the messsage "EXITING TALLY"
data could not be opened in version 7"
and tally turned off.

Please help me in finding the solution.

If Service is rendered in mid of June by a contractor to my company but contractor submits bill in end July then how to enter this in tally system? if I am entering in June then quary will raise that why we didn't deposit TDS in July 7th. So what is solution.
