Dear Experts Kindly guide me on the following practical issue: 1. Both concerns are sole proprietorships owned by different family members and have separate GST Registrations. 2. The proprietorship holding the physical stock filed its ITR for FY 2025-26 under section 44AD. In the balance sheet section of the ITR, all columns were reported as Nil, except Cash. The Trade Name of Business was not mentioned in the ITR. Further, the GST Turnover reflected in AIS/TIS was not separately reported in the ITR, although the turnover declared in the ITR exceeds the GST Turnover reflected in AIS/TIS. 3. During FY 2026-27, the proprietor intends to transfer the existing physical stock to the other family owned proprietorship concern. Query: Can the physical stock be transferred to the other proprietorship despite the above reporting position in the earlier ITR? If yes, what is the appropriate procedure under the applicable GST and Income Tax laws? Kinly provide your expert opinion. Thank you.
