i cleared my ipcc group 1 in may2011 in 1st attempt only with 207 marks and i got 135 in my cpt .i am planning to give my group2 exams in nov2011 soo what would be the best time to join article-ship and from where i can join it............

I would like to know whether a back dated tranfer can be made valid. I will be completing the first year of articleship on 15.08.2011 and as per the announcement of ICAI there is no restriction on tranfer in the first year of articleship. The talks with my principle regarding the transfer are going on and it will take time i.e. atleast 15 more days to convince him due to some issues. I dont mind serving him for this period and not getting any credit but just wanted to know whether once he gets convinced, will I have to take permission from the ICAI since after the first year only after showing proper reasons as mentioned in the rules the transfer will be permitted. Will it be possible that I show that since I had taken leaves for my exams the first year is not complete in the actual sense and therefore no permission from the ICAI is required.

A business firm doing sales business in a state. now it wants to start contract work in construction field in other states. So which is more preferable to charge? Work contract tax or service tax? And how should It be Taxed and at what rates? For WCT any registration is required?

Sir, one of my friends has been offered a partnership by one well established CA firm (currently having 2 partners). My friend was working assistant in that office for the period around 3 years when he was not a chartered. Now he has cleared CA finals. His bosses are asking him to frame a reasonable offer. On that basis he shall be judged. He is required to work as office's internal affairs manager. (In short as a link between bosses level and staff). My friend is not required to invest even a penny in the firm.
Sir, on what basis profit sharing ratio of partners be decided in the CA firm. This is very sensitive matter as the bosses gonna judge him on basis of offer he frames.

I'm a PCC student. I've completed my articleship on 30th April 2011.

I've given 4 attempts of PCC and cleared my group one in may '11 with acc 57, audit 80 and law 57.

second group..cost/fm 53, tax 48 and it/sm 16.

I did my articleship from kolkata in very demanding conditions, which is why the first two attempts were like mock exams, but now i am scared.

I've always been a very good student. However PCC has been my achilles heel so far.

Will 5 attempts in PCC effect my chances of a good campus recruitment?

I am very anxious to know this.

I AM A STUDENT OF IPCC BUT I DID NOT DO MY B.COM. I HAVE HEARD A LOT ABOUT THE ICAI -IGNOU MOU B.COM. BT I HAVE SOME QUARIES REGARDING THE COURSE. IN THE PROSPECTUS IT IS WRITTEN THAT
"FOR STUDENTS WHO HAVE ALREADY COMPLEATED THE CHARTERED ACCOUNTANCY FIRST STAGE(INTERMEDIATE/PE-2/PCC) , THE MINIMUM PERIOD OF STUDY SHALL BE PROPORTIONATELY REDUCED. THUS SUCH STUDENTS CAN COMPLETE THIS PROGRAMME WITHIN A MINIMUM PERIOD OF ONE YEAR AND A MAX OF FOUR YEAR"
NOW MYSELF BEING A STUDENT OF IPCC, WILL I BE ABLE TO GET THE DEGREE WITHIN ONE YEAR OF COMPLETION OF IPCC AS LIKE THE PCC STUDENTS OR I HAVE TO WAIT TILL THE COMPLETION OF THREE YEARS OF ARTICLESHIP TO GET MY DEGREE???
