Vat on jira and variyali in gujarat

At recently Gujarat Government had made a Jira and Variyali free from VAT , but there is a little bit confusion that because of VAT there is any effect on CST on Jira and Variyali

If the said (jira & variyali) is generally exempted under Gujarat VAT act, then, CST is also exempted.
