is there any compulsion for deduction of TDS
service tax is levied on invoice?
if service provider (clearing & forwarding agent) given the invoice as follow :
sample checking of material : 30000
i.e. to be exported
courier charges : 4400
then whether this is service or not
and TDS is to be deducted or not

In the given case TDS needs to be deducted u/s 194C on total bill amount inclusive of service tax.
