20 June 2009 we are a STPI unit and going to start domestic sales of Customise Software as per requirement.

does this attract service tax and vat both.

20 June 2009 In my view only VAT is attarcted in the light of the TCS case - SC as also the Infosys case for cusotmised s/w.
However the presence of the electronic download of the same in Service tax is a controvercy which can be avoided by supplying the same by way of CD.
