Please let me know, is service tax leviable on renting/leasing of movable property like public transport vehicles?

Yes possibly under supply of tangible goods.
However the important factor is whether the goos are in your possession or the cusotmers. If under the control/ possession of cleint then only VAT/ CST wouldbe liable and not Service tax.
