22 June 2009 We are availing service tax credit on the transportation paid for inputs. We are selling some of the inputs as such. Are we eligible to avail service tax credit on the such transportation. If no please quote the authority.

24 June 2009 As long as you are a manufacturer liable to excise/ service provider provding taxable services the cenvat credit is available on input services used in or in relation to manufacture and clearacne of goods. CCR 2004.

24 June 2009 We are availing service tax credit on the transportation of the inputs. In turn we are selling these inputs as such meaning thereby these inputs are not used in or in relaton to manufacure. Are we eligible to avail service tax credit on the transportation paid while purchasing the same initialliy.
We are doubtful beause we are not using these inputs in or in relation to manufacture of our finish goods.
