kindly explain the calculation of service tax for September 2011.
note:need to pay billed amount or collection amount.

20 October 2011 Service tax now need to pay on Invoice basis. so not on basis of collection

20 October 2011 Previously the service tax taxation point only on receipt of the payment, but now with circular no.18/2011 Dt:1.3.2011 service tax need to pay by invoice basis.

20 October 2011 suppose if payment received from the client is after the TDS deduction , how can it be treated

20 October 2011 ST has to be levied on gross amount of the bill and has to be paid accordingly irrespective of TDS or not.

Prepare a simple excel sheet giving break up of invoices in gross amount ST, EC & SHEC and pay the tax as due.
