I want know whether there is any other bonds which can get exemption U/s. 54 EC other than REC and NHAI ? One Bank manager is told that if the amount deposited in the Capital Gains Account Scheme of SBT/SBI for three years they can get the exemption U/s. 54 EC... Please clarafy....

1. Only bonds of NHAI & REC are eligible for exemption u/s 54EC.
2. Facility to deposit amount in Capital Gain Account Scheme is NOT available u/s 54EC. It is applicable only for other sections.
