What is the procedure to change the name in the Members register
Of the ICAI. Actually my name in the register is written as “ Sureshkumar Chunnilal Chouthibai Choudhary” and now I want to make this short as “ Suresh C.Choudhary”.
Is is possible, if yes what all I have do for the same

File an affidavit before a public notary for name change. Publish the same in two news paper . File a n application with ICAI for change in name along with the original copy of the news paper. ICAI will issue a certificate in letter form for change in name and from that date your name will get changed in the records of ICAI, however no new certificates will be issued.
