22 November 2011 When gift received from his relative. (For example rs-5,00,000 recieved by cheque)
Is there is necessarily any documentation.
like gift deed or letter of gift or other documentation....

And where it should shown in itr 4.

23 November 2011 When the gift has been received by cheque, the cheque in itself is a supporting document. The amount will appear in the ban statement. No other document is required.

Such gift can be shown as an addition to capital. However, in the ITR only closing capital is mentioned, additions/withdrawls are not shown in the ITR.
