Hi I am a salaried person earning Rs 25,000 per month in a BPO as technical specialist.I got a contract from another BPO related to recruitment.They will release the payment in Cheque so my query is as I am a salaried person Can I take cheque in my name?If yes then what category of income would it fall into?What kind of taxes I need to pay?The amount I would be getting is in the range of Rs 3Lakhs to 4Lakhs.THANKS

The amount will be taxable as business income.
