05 January 2010 Is it required to fill form 112 if a student pursues CFA Course Level 1 during his articleship ?

CFA course is a correspondence course

no college / no classes

Intimation to ICAI through submission of 112 is necessary to avoid any future problem.

What ever course you are doing during article ship you have to inform to ICAI through form 112.
Form 112 has both column i-e regular Course & Distance Course, in case of regular course you have to take stamp & sign of your college/institution's principal while in case of distance course you have to simply fill the form no stamp & sign required.

But my case is slightly different....

I registered for cfa in Feb 09 ....

completed my articleship in Aug 09 and my attempt was in Dec 09....

so factually i had just registered for the course in Feb 09

do i still need to fill form 112 and condonation letter with Rs 1000 fine ?

i had the similar situation, but i had not filed Form 112 so i have been penalised with fine plus 6 months delay in enrollment as member so pls don't take risk & file Form 112 with fine Rs.1000
