Effect of change in name of company

The name of company was changed w.e.f March 01, 2011. After March 01, 2011 some POs were issued to vendors in the former name of the company and invoices were all received from vendors in old name. Are those invoices and POs valid or need to be altered?

These invoices and POs are not invalid.It will be better if the suppliers are told to alter (no need to get new invoices in new name)the name on their invoices which they have sent to this company.
