Sir,
My Employer has deducted TDS and I have also paid Advance tax during the FY2011-12
but due to unavoidable circumstances I could not file IT returns.Is there any provision to file the IT return under the Income Tax Act so that I can update my records.

No you can't file the return now. As you have already paid full tax not a problem.
