Im wrting CA PE2 in MAy2008 EXams AND purchased IncomeTAx for PCE One of the REf book For The A/Y2008-09.and Eliminating
VAT and ServiceTAx, so my doubt is Can i use that Ref. Book For only IncomeTax Point of view

When we purchases Plant & machinery we are applicable for 20% additional depreciation in the year of puut to use but when we use the same less then 180 days this plant & machinery then we can claim only half i.e. 10% additional depreciation in the year of procurement.
Can we avail the balance 10% Additional Depreciation in the next Year?

Hi, i read in TN Manoharan's material that the interest on the balance in PPF credited in excess of 8.5% is taxable u/s17(1). But some other materials like Singhania say it is 9.5% Please help as which is the correct percent

I tried creating closing stock ledger under the group stock-in-hand and entered the opening stock value and entered the closing stock value, but closing stock did not appear either in p& l a/c or in the b/s .
