A person dies and his legal heir claims his PPF and LIC policies amounting to more than 10 lacs.
Whether the legal heir has to pay tax on this amounts if he is not normally an assessee

Tds of interest payment

during the F.y 2010-11 a company had paid interest amounting to Rs. 31 lakhs to NBFC.
and didn't deduct TDS thereon .

out of Rs. 31 lakhs no amount was payable.


now please tell can we take stand of the paid and payable controversy as decided by some case laws like merylin shiiping , vector shipping??

A private company has planned to increase its authorised share capital by 5,00,000, i.e, it will amount to 10,00,000 after such increase

what is the amount of fee to be paid to MCA for such increase in the authorised capital?

I have my own house in Noida, which is on loan. My parents staying in this house. I am doing job in Gurgaon. I am staying in Gurgaon on rented house. can i show rent paid in my investment declaration of Income tax as well as housing loan.

271(1)(c)

On the basis of the information available with I T Dept. case of an assessee has been reopened and At the time of assessment proceedings some undisclosed income of an assessee has been found by AO however against that Income, there were TDS. After an addition of undisclosed income, though returned income has been increase but after giving the credit of TDS untimately tax payable is NIL. Now My quarry is : Can penalty u/s. 271(1)(C) can be imposed? since tax sought to be evaded is NIL.

please also provide case law wherein tax payable is nil so no 271(1)(c) is initiated

Regarding 80c deduction

Dear all,
One of my assessee, did not claim deduction U/s 80C, while filing IT Returns, because he got loss.
But, now during the Assessment proceedings,the AO raised a demand of 20000/-, now in reply to his notice, can i claim deduction of Rs.100000, which i actually have?
Also,please support me with a case law.
