As per institutes rule normal working hours are 35 per week. But it seems that many CA firm force to article assistant to work at least 7 to 8 hours per day (42 to 48 hours). & they have to do. Could you pls suggest what can be done in this situation?

I cleared CPT in May,2006 but still today I could not hardly find any firm for doing articleship . Most of the firm prefer PE-2 and graduates. As for me I only cleared CPT and not doing any other graduation course at the same time as I wish to do B.com(special) of IGNOU.
For admision to this, PCC registration no.
is must. At this critical situation,I am unable to articleship and B.com as well
Therefore, please give me a good suggestio
n. Also please let me know some firm with vacancy where I can do my articleship

Actually , i have not received my main course book for Cost accounting and FM from ICAI. and my coaching institute has started teachin Costing ( Budgetary control rite now). Without any theoritical knowledge, it's difficult to solve problems.
Cud u suggest me book on costings which i cud use rite now and that wud be useful even after i get the main book
