Is ICAI seriously planning to reduce the articleship period for PCC students or it is just a rumour?? If they are serious, when are they planning to make the official announcement? Can anyone give me a satisfactory reply??

My Querry follows:
I have passed CA Final I group under erstwhile Final old syllabus in 1992.For clearing my CA now ,should I have to clear both the groups or is it enough if I clear the II group alone?

Sometime before I was told by the Institute that validity of the exemption of that Igroup was already over,Pl.kindly
let me know the present status.I am not getting any reply from the Institute;I am in Saudi Arabia & have been working as Mgt Accountant.

Could anybody can help me to resolve my querry?

i am appearing in May 2010 for Second group of c.a.Final as i clear my first group in old course I.e.in 1992. now i am in confusion whether to appear in old course or switchover to new course and clear second group in new course.
