how to check whether any one is claiming as ca but not having membership number?

is there any data available at icai for checking the same?

I want to know that I dont have TAN no but i am paying rent Rs 45000 Pm.

Is it compulsory to deduct TDS on rent and M I deduct TDS without TAN no.?

i have just given CPT in june ,2013 attempt and i am pretty sure that i will clear it. and some people has told me not to waste the 1 month , now i want to know which subjects i will be able to understand on my own and which books should i use for prepearation.
and from where in delhi i can purchase these books???

sir i am doing articleship in bangalore city but my native 250 KM away from bangalore and my health condition is not good ( suffering from piles and gastric problem) i need home food to reduce these problem but here in bangalore i am not getting any home food so i am planing to shift for my native,can i get transfer plz help me sir/. whether this reason can ICAI accept as valid reason.

How many can we change firms for articleship purpose?
Can we do articleship beyond 3 years also?

I have given my IPCC exam in may 13.One of my friend is CA and he is in an international company.Now I m working under him.I want to know whether can i do my articleship under him if i clear ipcc in august?
As he says i can work under him and he says that he has a COP.If i work under him there is no audit kind of work,but more of accounting and tax.
