Dear Sir,

We received one Letter of Credit through ABC company registered in India for export of merchandise in INR to a foreign country.

In the LC it is mentioned that goods to be exported to foreign country but we have following doubts;

1) Invoice as asked by them in the name of Indian company as buyer and Buyer other than consignee as US company - will it be called as local sale.

2) The ABC company in India is giving disclaimer not to avail any DBK or DEPB - is that an indication that it is a local sale.

3) Payment will come from Indian Bank for this export transaction - will it attract any banking consequences?

4) Does this kind of sale will attract any Excise?

Please let me know the Accounting treatment for Electricity Deposits and Interest accrual on such deposit.

Is it correct to account such deposits in Other Deposits? Shall we need to disclose it separately in the Financial Statements.

I am MBA graduate in Finance passed out in 2009 and then after I joined for CA articleship and serving 2nd year of articleship.


My question to the club members is that whether my CA Articleship period will be considered as job experience when we go for job after completion of our articleship.

we have two type of employees Regular and labour provided by contractor. For the Regular employees we are contibuting EPF @ 12% of full wages ( Mean above Rs 6500) Are we bound to contribute the same critaria for the conttors labout oR we can restrict the contribution up to Rs 6500 for contractor labour and beyound celling for the Regular employees

We re oppint the employees after the age of superannuation i.e afte 58 years are we liable to contribute for E P F for the remployes persons

This year (2010-11) Our Sales Turnover is 156 Lakhs including Duties and taxes and Clearance for Exports. Last year it was below 100 Lakhs

Please let me know we have crossed SSI limit OR still under SSI

What is limit for the SSI and which figure is to be compared ... Clearance / Sales / Duties / Taxes / Home clearance only / Export / ???

can anyone tell me about to start the Industrial Training as i still have a 4 months period to complete my articleship of 2 years so after that can i go for industrial training and as i m confused about excess leave taken by me about 4 months so whether that excess leave can be cover under industrial training (Date of Regn - 24/07/2009 - date of completion of 2 year of articleship is - 24/07/2011 so i want to join remaining 12 months of IT. Can i go with Industrial Training for my remaining period of articleship.Plz reply soon as it urgently required.

Sir i am writing my IPCC exam in may-2011 is it possible to enroll to ICSI simultaneous with IPCC. please clarify me in this regard or to do what other than ICSI? Thanks in advance.
