my father sold own land & deposit in bank as fixed deposit & interest collect quaterely basis so that is it tds applicable on interest & what is rate of tds
there is compalsery fill up of income tax retrun if compalsery please send me format of income tax

If interest income from fixed deposit is the only income for your father kindly file Form 15 g incase his age is below 60 else Form 15 H. Its a self decleration form should be filled and submitted by your father to the corresponding bank.

For the claim of TDS deducted by bank, file ITR 1 and claim excess tax paid as refund.
