20 April 2015 sir,it is possible that a.y. 2009-10 to 2013-2014 return can be file u/s 148 without issuing notice u/s 147
one officer has told us
if yes then provide me same notification for this

20 April 2015 Subject to the discretionary power of the Commissioner of Income Tax under section 119 (2) of the Income Tax Act of 1961 delayed return can be filed. The Commissioner of Income Tax could grant permission condoning the delay of filing the return and allow the refunds arising out of such return, strictly based on the merit of each case.

It may also be noted that if an assessee would like to file his return, without involving any refund – such returns could be filed for the purpose of record and NO RETURN COULD BE FILED INVOLVING REFFUND, without obtaining the permission from the Commissioner of Income Tax for condonation of delay.

so without notice can we do this ,there areany chances to face any trouble for filing of return under this section without notice

20 April 2015 You can't file E return. If you file return regularly in future disclosing correct income you will not face any problem.

20 April 2015 No you can't. But you can request the AO to issue notice. But interest is payable.
