Can Works Contract Tax paid be taken as Vat Input credit? If so are there any timelines?

Yes, it can be done. Input of WCT means vat paid through a bill of a sub-contractor,by a main contractor. If the main contractor claims exemption on the payments made to a subcontractor,then the input credit related to it can not be claimed again.....mjk
