27 August 2013 Can Works Contract Tax paid be taken as Vat Input credit? If so are there any timelines?

27 August 2013 Yes, it can be done. Input of WCT means vat paid through a bill of a sub-contractor,by a main contractor. If the main contractor claims exemption on the payments made to a subcontractor,then the input credit related to it can not be claimed again.....mjk
