23 May 2016 We are registered dealer in Maharashtra. Can VAT audit applicable to OMS Sales. Over all total sales turnover is out of Maharashtra it's cross 1 Crore.
May VAT audit applicable to our company.

02 August 2025 For Maharashtra VAT audit applicability:

* The threshold for mandatory VAT audit in Maharashtra is a **turnover exceeding ₹1 crore** (including local sales, interstate sales, and other taxable sales).
* You mentioned your **overall sales turnover outside Maharashtra crosses ₹1 crore**.

**Key point:**
The total turnover for VAT audit includes **all sales—both inside and outside Maharashtra**, i.e., total turnover of the registered dealer irrespective of location.

### So, yes:

If your total sales turnover (including outside Maharashtra) exceeds ₹1 crore, **VAT audit is applicable** for your company in Maharashtra.
