I am a properitary concern
I have paid Rs.35000 as school fees
It also include bus fees of Rs. 5000/-
Whether I can claim Rs. 35000/- as deduction u/s 80c or Rs. 30000/-(35000-5000)
Pls explain it

You can claim deduction of only such amount as is shown as Tution Fees in the Receipt.

you cant claim fees paid for availing bus u/s 80C.
This is so because, only amount paid for tution fees is eligible.and bus fees cant in any manner be regarded as paid for getting tuitions from school. its paid for convenience only. similarly fees for building fund, fan fund, donation or of similar nature is also not allowed.

Only Rs 30000/- (Provided it is shown in receipt as Tution Fees) can be claimed.
Not allowable Expenses:-
1. Development fees or donation not eligible.
2. Transport charges, hostel charges, Mess charges, library fees, scooter/cycle/car stand charges incurred for education are not allowed.
3. Late fees is not eligible for deduction.
4. Term Fees is not eligible for deduction.
Note: Above list is not exhaustive.
