Time Limit for Serive Tax Payment

05 January 2010 In Serive Tax there is any provisions towards time limit payment of Bills of Services containing serivce tax in order to claim Cenvat. In other words is there any provisions which says that if you will not pay the serive tax bill upto certain periods then you will not able to get cenvat credit. plese enlight on the issue.

Service Tax Credit is received only on Payment basis, it's not matter when you clear your bill, you will get service tax credit only after payment while in case of Excise it is on Goods Receipt basis
