are taxi hire charges subject to TDS?

if so, is it under 194 c?

01 January 2010 I do agree the above view of expert....If it is continouance , it will fall under 194 c Carriage of goods and passengers by any mode of service other than railways.

01 January 2010 Good.........The definition under sec 194 c carry the word carriage of goods or passenger any mode of transport other than railways.

2.Continuity of the service etc are the criteria for deducting the TDS
