I would you ask regarding TDS on Rent

From Apr09 to sep09 rent paying 15000/-PM
fron Oct09 to mar10 rent paying 25000/-PM
whether tds applicable?
then how to calculate

22 October 2010 yes tds is applicable on both amount. trash hold limit was rs. 120000 p.a. during the 2009.10

After Oct10 to marc11 25000*6 150000

Cross the limit
TDS Applicable

that is 25000*10% 2500/- PM

22 October 2010 IN a year the thersh hold limit is 180K. If the amount paid as rent is exceding 180K in a year, irrespective of the break up, one needs to see the crossing of threshhold limit for applicability of TDS provisions.
