This query is : Resolved

25 May 2009 Dear Sir/madam,

In my bank a/c i have fixed deposit for which bank has deducted tds on interest. but in my personal I. tax file tax will be nil.
please help

25 May 2009 If your income is below the taxable limit of Rs. 1.50L then you can claim back the TDS deducted by the bank by filing your income tax return.

25 May 2009 If the bank has deducted TDS, you ask them to provide you form 16A and while fling your return claim the TDS as refund.

Next time, you are advised to submit form 15G with your bank that not to deduct TDS

26 May 2009 thanks for help
