Dear Sir,
We r a company in Mumbai & given civil contract (flouring work) to a company Approx. 1 Cr. The contractor charging S. tax @ 4% & VAT @ 5%.I am of the view to deduct TDS @ 2% on bill.
Pls correct me if i am wrong ?

Yes you are correct TDS needs to be deducted on above transaction @2% u/s 194C.
