since which date TDS on contracts is deductible @ 1%, whether company or non company...???

TDS on contract is governed by Section 194C and rate of TDS is---
Individual/HUF @1%
Others 2%
If PAN not given 20%.
Individual/HUF @1%
Others 2%
If PAN not given 20%.

thanks sir, but i heard rates are changed and it became 1% for both company and noncompany deductee...
