25 April 2009 I am in hundred percent agreement with Warrier and Jagdish, however the bill of clearing agents contain the service charges for their services & inland freight and reimbursement of clearing charges. The moot question remains whether TDS is rquired to be deducted on the entire amount or only on service charges bill. I my opinion the if all the bills are separately raised, TDS would be required to be deducted from service charges and inland freight bill.
