what is current St Rate 14% or 14.28% for F.Y.15-16
from when is it going to be applicable, plz mention date ???????????????

The Budget announced an increase in service tax from 12.36 per cent to 14 per cent for 2015-16.

current rate to be followed is 12.36% only as there is no effective date is notified by department

In Point No. 3.3 it is clearly mentioned that "The new Service Tax rate of 14% shall come into effect from a date to be notified by the Central Government after the enactment of the Finance Bill, 2015."
So till the new rates are notified Service Tax rate will be 12.36%.
