Service provider raised a invoice for the amount of Rs.10000 and service tax paid Rs.1236 but at the time of payment Service provider gave the discount to service receiver for Rs.2000. So my doubt is shall we can adjust the amount of service tax in future liability or any other solution?

In case the rates are renogotiated then the excess service tax can be adjusted provided a credit note for the same is issued....
