Is service tax applicable on providing astrology services.

11 September 2012 Service tax is applicable on ALL services except those specified in the negative list or specifically exempt.

Since astrology services are NOT covered in the negative list and also not exempted, service tax is payable on such services.

However, service tax shall be payable only if the value of such services exceeds Rs. 10 lakhs.
