Service provided to company in us from india-exempt ?

This query is : Resolved

27 November 2014 Hello everyone,

one of my client is LLP in India and is providing services to his clients in UK just like KPO/data entry type work.

Whether my client is liable for payment of service tax ?

waiting for the views of the experts ?

27 November 2014 In my opinion it is export of services within the meaning of Rule 6A of Service Tax Rules 1994, as Point of taxation is outside India (Rule 3)

Therefore, you don't need to pay service taxes

29 November 2014 you have to pay the service tax due to you are paying the service from the taxable zone. if you are providing services in UK then its not taxable.

matter is from where you are providing the services.
