Recently due to global restructuring in the company, one person was separated from the company on 5th sep2015. Till now he didn't have a job.
loss due to with out salary can be shown as tax exemption.......?????????
can it be possible,
he received survivalence package with a due tax deduction by the company.
Please give me answer with Section

Loss without salary can't be shown as tax exemption. Check section 10(10B) of income tax, you can claim exemption of 5 lacs from the package received.
