Is there any hike in limit from present on transaction of above Rs.4999/- for affixing revenue stamp. If so please reply with details.

Affixing revenue stamp limit above Rs 5000/- not Rs 4999/- and above.

yes.agree with above limit is rs 5000.

Section 2(23) of the Indian Stamp Act,1899 makes it mandatory for affixing of revenue stamp on any receipt ,as defined therein, above Rs 5,000.
