01 February 2016 After CPT

21 July 2025 Got it! You registered for IPCC back in 2009 and appeared for 1 group in 2010 but couldn’t continue then. Now you want to restart your CA studies. Here’s what you need to know:

Validity of Registration:
CA IPCC registration usually remains valid for a limited period (around 3-4 years). Since you registered in 2009, the registration likely expired.

What to do now?

You will have to re-register for IPCC or, as per the latest CA course structure, you may need to register for Intermediate (IPC) if applicable.

Since you have completed your PG and MPhil, you might want to check if you are eligible for Direct Entry scheme, which allows certain graduates/postgraduates to skip CPT and directly enroll in Intermediate.

Next Steps:

Visit the ICAI website or your local chapter office for the latest registration guidelines.

Fill the application for fresh registration for the course stage you want to appear in.

Pay the required fees and prepare for the exams.

Tips:

Contact ICAI student services or your nearest branch for clarity on your specific case and the latest updates.

Since you have a strong academic background, consider the direct entry scheme.
