Pan card issue?

06 December 2011 I have applied for PAN No. around 2000. IT department had asked me twice to send my photographs, and I did the same. But neither I received my PAN no. nor PAN card. Then I have applied again for PAN No. & I got the same.Yesterday I was searching for PAN details on website, after filling my details i.e. first name, middle name, surname etc. The PAN no. displayed was different than what I received. I have given my recent PAN no. everywhere where it is required. Please advise what is to be done now.
