01 August 2011 A company has framed its notice for Annual General Meeting but consequently a matter came up which requires concern of Shareholders as well and for that company is deciding for holding an EGM before AGM as matter cannot be postpone for AGM .Can company modify its notice. if so then please tell me the section under which it can be done.

02 August 2011 If draft notice was not sent than you can modify that and no section is required and after modification draft the notice for EGM and do the EGM first and than issue notice for the AGM.

Or if their is question of time limit for holding AGM than the particular matter entered in the AGM notice and do the AGM.
